PROVIDING THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY OF SEATTLE WITH FRESH, RESTAURANT-QUALITY, HOME-STYLE MEALS

Shelters we feed

Shelters we feed

We are fortunate to be able to provide a monthly meal to around 500 people at 8 neighborhood shelters.

Angeline's

Angeline's Center for Women provides drop-in services for homeless women every day in the Belltown neighborhood.  The Homeless Cooking Project provides a meal for 150 people at Angeline's, the largest shelter we work with.

The Blaine Center (formerly Men's Inn)

The Blaine Center is a shelter nestled beneath First Church and run in partnership with Compass Housing Alliance.  Our meal is served to the 70 men who stay at this overnight shelter.

Jubilee Women's Center

The Jubilee Women's Center provides housing, job training, counseling, and other services to assist women transitioning out of homelessness.  The food prepared by the Homeless Cooking Project provides a meal for 35 women living at the shelter.

Julia's Place

Julia's Place, located at Madrona Grace Church, is a cooperative effort to provide emergency shelter for homeless families from Mary's Place, a day center located in Seattle's Downtown neighborhood.  Our meal is shared by the families--moms, dads, and kids--staying at the shelter.

PSKS

Peace for the Streets by Kids From the Streets is a drop-in center for youth and young adults--many of whom are not eligible for other shelters because they have mental health or substance-abuse issues, or because they have pets.  The Homeless Cooking Project provides a meal for 35 to 50 young people at this shelter.

Tent City 3

Tent City 3 is a roving site for 100 homeless adults, operated by SHARE/WHEEL with support from Greater Seattle Cares.  The Homeless Cooking Project delivers a hot meal to wherever this fully-outdoor site is located at the time.

YWCA-Downtown Women and Children's Shelter

This YWCA emergency shelter is a secure, confidential facility.  The meal we provide is shared by women and children who are fleeing domestic violence.

YWCA-East Cherry

The East Cherry YWCA provides a variety of emergency and transitional housing programs.  The Homeless Cooking Project meal is served at a parenting group for young mothers and their children.
